About Sylvain...
Originally from the Berry region of France, I come from a family of West Indian and Pyrenean origin, with a mother who was a nurse and a father who was an architect. I am the proud father of three daughters and a grandfather. I grew up in a community in the Berry region of France, then very close to Rajasthan in India; I fell into travels at an early age, and above all, I was brought up in a culture of introspection.
In 2010, I left the Toulouse region to live in the Pyrénées-Orientales. There I resumed my long-postponed career as a craftsman, as well as my passion for sculpture, which I still teach today. At the same time, I started training in property management, which, combined with my love of my region and the pleasure of entertaining, led me to turn to tourism and, in particular, concierge services.
I realised that our lives lack breaks, so I came up with the idea of working towards a new kind of tourism; an ‘introspective journey’, a concierge service for short breaks, to reconnect people for longer periods of time.
Holiday Assistant was born to imagine and share a new kind of holiday, tourist or otherwise. What could be better than a well-deserved holiday or ‘break’ to enjoy relaxing moments and new, profound experiences?
